Who We Are
The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. For over 65 years, the LWML has focused on affirming each woman’s relationship with Christ, encouraging and equipping women to live out their Christian lives in active mission ministries and to support global missions. 

Mission Statement
The mission of the South Dakota Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is to provide women opportunities for spiritual growth and to equip and nurture them to use their God-given gifts to serve the Lord in home, church, community and the world.

Zion LWML, Chamberlain
A woman who is a communicant member of Zion Lutheran Church automatically has the privilege of being a member of the Zion LWML.

Throughout the year, LWML members will be called upon to help serve at various functions in the church. This may include furnishing food or serving at funerals, luncheons, etc.  More details about other opportunities for service
in the local LWML are set forth in the group’s handbook.  Current members are also good sources of information on how our local group operates.

Since The Zion LWML is affiliated with a particular Zone of other LWML groups in our area, the South Dakota District LWML, and the national LWML, there are opportunities for spiritual growth and service beyond Chamberlain, as well.

     The LWML Pledge
In fervent gratitude for the Savior’s dying love and His blood-bought gift of redemption, we dedicate ourselves to Him with all that we are and have;
and in obedience to His call for workers in the harvest fields, we pledge Him our willing service wherever and whenever He has need of us. 
We consecrate to our Savior our hands to work for Him, our feet to go on His errands, our voice to sing His praises, our lips to proclaim His redeeming love, our silver and our gold to extend His Kingdom, our will to do His will, and every power of our life to the great task of bringing the lost and the erring into eternal fellowship with Him.  Amen.
